Integrate with Centaur 

Sync patient and treatment data automatically to reduce manual work.

CoTreat works closely with Centaur to support practices using Dental4Windows (D4W) and Centaur MediaSuite (CMS).

Once integrated, CoTreat can securely sync data from D4W and CMS into CoTreat. This reduces manual data entry, minimises uploads, and helps your team get more value from CoTreat during a busy clinical day.

What the Integration Does

When connected, the integration allows CoTreat to:

  • Sync patient and appointment data

  • Access treatment and clinical information

  • Reduce the need for manual uploads

  • Support smoother workflows across your practice

Integration Setup Process

Integration with Dental4Windows and Centaur MediaSuite is managed in collaboration with Centaur and is completed in two steps.

Step 1: Centaur Setup

After you sign up and create your CoTreat account:

  • CoTreat submits an integration request to Centaur

  • The request covers:

    • Dental4Windows only, or

    • Dental4Windows + Centaur MediaSuite (depending on your setup)

Centaur will then contact your practice directly to arrange the required updates.

⏱️ This step typically takes 5–7 business days.

 

 

Step 2: CoTreat Installation

Once Centaur has completed their updates:

  • The CoTreat technical team will contact you

  • We’ll arrange installation of the CoTreat software

  • This enables the required data to flow from D4W and CMS into CoTreat

Primary Contact & IT Access

During setup, we’ll ask you to nominate a primary contact at your practice.

  • This person will coordinate access for both steps

  • If you use a third-party IT provider, we’re happy to liaise directly with them

  • All access is arranged remotely to minimise disruption

Installation Requirements

To integrate successfully, your Centaur products must meet the following minimum versions:

  • Dental4Windows: Build 5429 or above

  • Centaur MediaSuite: Build 4043 or above

How to Check Your Version

  1. Open Dental4Windows or CMS

  2. Click Help > About

  3. Check the Build number

If an Upgrade Is Required

If your software is below the required version:

  • Centaur will perform the upgrade at no charge

  • The process usually takes 45-60 minutes

  • Time required depends on your PC and internet connection

Upgrading ensures compatibility and a smoother CoTreat experience.

Accessing Integrated Data in CoTreat

Once integration is complete:

  • Open CoTreat

  • Navigate to the Synced Patients tab

  • Integrated data from D4W and CMS will be available there
